I am available for training and demonstrations. Much of my experience is in sales and design working with collectors, museums, galleries, interior designers and artists.
My shop management experience includes cost analysis, purchasing, human resources management,
promotional events and training.

Case Study
Problem: Small, established frame shop providing high-end framing has difficulty finding employees with extensive experience
in framing. Most notably missing are specialty skills,
such as decorative matting.

Solution: I conducted a half-day, hands-on workshop for two
of the shop's framers. Included were diagramed workshop notes, materials lists, helpful tips and pricing guidelines. Students were taught the skills to produce a number of profitable decorative mats, including gilded accents, wash and marbled panels,
bevels and lines. Although french matting takes years to master, any framer of moderate skill can accomplish
some of the techniques quickly.

The result was a number of very special design options,
which appeal to the shop's up-scale, urban clientele
and can easily be produced by its staff.
